Commiphora Myrrha is also known as 'true myrrh'. The species grows in Ethiopia, Somalia, and Yemen.
The highest quality (and most expensive) myrrh comes from Yemen. These rare resin pieces are partly golden in color and the scent is intense; rich, spicy and warm. Its effects are nurturing and grounding.
It has been valued for thousands of years for it's medicinal properties. Myrrh is considered to be of a feminine nature and an ideal companion resin to frankincense.
