Siberian Cedar resin (Pinus cembra sibirica), is a very special resin, harvested in Siberia.
It has a divine aroma when used as incense; spicy, woody, with a hint of citrus.
Anyone familiar with Anastasia the Ringing Cedars series of books, will be familiar with the sacred properties of Siberian Cedar. It is considered to have powerful healing properties due to its high vibrational state. There has also been increasing research into its calming effects.
The resin has traditionally been chewed; cleaning the teeth, strengthening the gums, and releasing the essential oils.
Similar to the balsam trees that produce frankincense and myrrh, coniferous trees also release resin when their bark is damaged. This resin is then harvested and dried.
Cedar Resin has a high proportion of essential oils, sometimes between 15–20%.
